We were very lucky to find Dr Das, Having been diagnosed with prostate cancer I was dispatched to see the surgery team and the oncology team, with a strong expectation I would opt for surgery. Dr Das was consistently supportive, interested and very caring. He probed to understand our issues and responded to each of them. I liked his very pragmatic style whereby he pointed out that the Issue for a man of my age (59 years old) is to ensure a decent quality of life after completion of the recommended treatment. Dr Das recommended the Space Oar approach and he clearly is one of the UK’s leading practitioners in this field. It worked really well, a high quality team of radiographers delivering excellent service in a really high quality environment. Early days, but the PSA readings suggest that it has been hugely effective too. There were complications. I had two strokes between the insertion of the shield and commencement of the radiotherapy, I gather that is unprecedented. Dr Das was kind enough to visit me on the stroke ward and convinced me that he was working well with the stroke specialist on challenges to my medication. After my discharge, he asked me to see him and laid out all the (new) risks and our choices very carefully. That high level of care continued during and after the radiotherapy. In summary, I would say the things that stand out about the care we have had from Dr Das are his expertise, his care for finding the best outcome for me, his clear communication of what could go wrong as well as the benefits, his focus on making sure my wife’s anxieties were heard and addressed, his diligence in trying to find a way to give me the treatment I had chosen notwithstanding my recent strokes, and his constant cheerful nature and positive thinking through out the process. I feel very fortunate to have had such a great medical expert on my case throughout this difficult time. Thank you Dr Das.

My Mother has been receiving consultations with Dr. Das since January this year, following the devastating news that her cancer had returned and was now terminal - only undergoing Chemotherapy to prolong her life. I myself have accompanied her on all her visits to see Dr. Das and always leave feeling positive and uplifted. His knowledge and professionalism are without question, giving us complete confidence in the recommended treatment. We are never rushed and are encouraged to ask any questions which are answered honestly. Cancer is a journey that is unbelievably difficult and knowing that you are under the care of someone who really cares makes it more bearable. My family and I cannot recommend and thank Dr. Das enough.

Dr Das is always considerate and easy to talk to. He always conducts my appointments in a very professional, friendly manner and ensures everything is understood, describing diagnosis, treatment and possible outcomes in a very sympathetic way. I would definitely recommend Dr Das to anyone suffering from Cancer and I can’t fault how he treats myself through the path Cancer takes me.

I have been a patient of Dr Das since July 2016 when I was referred to him by my Renal Consultant after undergoing 3 major operations. I feel very fortunate to have been referred to Dr Das. He explained to me and my wife about the treatment he was proposing in great detail, how the latest drugs work and their side effects. After 18 months he changed me to a new drug as the original drug had lost its effectiveness. He also organised two separate sessions of radiotherapy, one on the spine and one on the hip. I have complete confidence in Dr Das and he is extremely caring, straight talking, never rushes me and patiently answers all my questions however mundane. Dr Das told me at the beginning my cancer was incurable, but he has helped me make my life as comfortable and as pain free as possible. I must also mention Dr Das’s excellent team and particularly his nurse Lesley who has been a great comfort to both myself and my wife. Thank you Dr Das and all your caring team.

Dr Das is such a nice person to see especially under the conditions you potentially may have. He takes the time to explain your condition, the resulting treatment you will face and the aftercare to follow. I totally trust his judgement, he listens to any concerns you may have and gives you his support. I would recommend Dr Das to anyone who going through this life changing challenge. He is also very kind to my wife who also shares your anxiety whilst undergoing treatment. Generally a top bloke!
